Glaxosmithkline Payroll

Well, I never!

With a bit of digging here and there on the internet one can find a plethora of interesting facts.

The most recent find comes as no surprise.

Visit The San Francisco Chronicles Archives and there is an interesting story from 2000 about an athelete by the name of Pete Harnisch. The article goes on to tell you how he took Paxil and in a matter of weeks was better and after 6 months was able to come off the drug. No side effects Peter? Apparently not as there is no mention at all of side effects.

Now, most importantly, scroll down the page here and you will come across an article entitled ''NEUTRALIZING ANTIDEPRESSANT SIDE EFFECTS'

The article basically tells you how to reduce common and troublesome side effects of antidepressants.

To be honest, there is no mention of the electric like zaps, feelings of suicide, homicidal thoughts, lack of empathy etc.

The artcle was written by a certain Claudia Morain from UC Davis.

Now folks, a simple google of her name and voila... we can see why she does not mention any of the more 'severe' side effects of antidepressants.

Go here

Interestingly, Claudia Morain is the Media Contact at the Medical News Office at the UC Davis.

No big deal huh?

Well read the article.

I'll post the first few lines for you:

UC DAVIS CANCER CENTER WINS ROLE IN NATIONAL CLINICAL TRIALS CAMPAIGN

...The grants were awarded by the National Institutes of Health through the National Cancer Institute, in partnership with Aventis, Bristol-Meyers-Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lilly and Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Coincidence?
