An unhealthy Paradox - Contradiction, congruence and the reputation of an industry.

Managed to get my hands on a great article from Healthy Conversations.

It seems that 86% of people are blaming GSK for damaging the pharmaceutical industry reputation following the MHRA investigation into them.

Andrew Witty really has his work cut out!

The article is available in pdf format HERE

Here's an abstract:

"Data from recent surveys would lead us to believe reputation [Pharmaceutical Industry] is on a downward slide. PricewaterhouseCoopers reported on the significant erosion of public trust and the damaging consumer perception that big pharma puts profits before patients.1"

"In the UK, research following the MHRA investigation into GSK’s disclosure of Seroxat data saw 86% of people saying the whole industry’s reputation was damaged by the situation.2"
