Never mind great British institutions such as Woolworth or the ever dilapidated car industry. Forget Barratts shoe shops and Adams baby clothes. PM Gordon Brown gets his priorities in order by summoning senior industry figures, such as Andrew Witty, chief executive of GlaxoSmithKline, and David Brennan, his opposite number at AstraZeneca, to a meeting at No 10 to discuss ways of protecting pharmaceuticals and biotechnology companies, their revenues and their jobs.
Amazing isn't it?
Further evidence that this government is in bed with pharma.
Money talks folks.

ReplyDeleteWell, if Pharma's in trouble, then more fool it for only ever having one (rather shit), idea. And look at it this way: at least we know where we stand with (Gordon Brown) Texture (Like Sun).
ReplyDeleteIn the final analysis, if Texture's only listening to one perspective, then he's hardly likely to make decisions that reflect a wider interest. He is, then, making his decisions in favour of money, and he can argue that it's about jobs, if he likes, but the employees' benefit is microscopic, possibly incidental, to where the real benefit lies.
Fuck 'em: walk away, because nothing's going to change. Same with Obama, who has to be the whitest black man I ever saw.
