One piddling little meeting, which a few campaigners get to attend, and others don't, and the unity that had been apparent, before, starts to dissipate.

Those who have attended the meeting have not been "invited in" by the MHRA, et al. They are not part of that club, now, and they are not being listened to, irrespective of what one might read into said meeting. Unless something truly concrete was agreed, which ALL those impacted are involved in, then this meeting was no olive branch.

The "loose cannons" are the litmus paper, in this, because they are the most forthright, and, I think, they have the clearest idea of what it is that they want to happen, in order to make this right. If the loose cannons aren't being invited in, then nobody is, in truth. The MHRA doesn't really want to talk to the loose cannons, for that very reason: they won't have the MHRA's fix imposed on them, on the basis that it is very likely to be no kind of fix, at all.

Incidentally, one can please oneself as to how the term "loose cannon" is viewed. Perhaps "unaffiliated and therefore very difficult to control," would be more accurate.

MattRadagasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14286529284742690239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10459981.post-46852475686800416962008-05-01T21:01:00.001+01:002008-05-01T21:01:00.001+01:00oh and I can't wait to hear what Janice has to say...oh and I can't wait to hear what Janice has to saySHELLYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13315084956649424962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10459981.post-23244871449267044432008-05-01T21:01:00.000+01:002008-05-01T21:01:00.000+01:00ewwww, i hope you wouldn't screw GSK or MHRA.....b...ewwww, i hope you wouldn't screw GSK or MHRA.....but if you do, I want pics. It might focus their minds to be "given the window seat". There's nothing like having made clear to one that one's services are no longer required to permit one the opportunity to identify who one's friends are, as I discovered at my last place of employment.

We don't need the MHRA, nor anybody else, in order to implement a solution, and the sooner we get away from the idea that it is needed, the better.

MattRadagasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14286529284742690239noreply@blogger.com
