Prove that this wasn't just a vulnerable guy, who had had a couple of bad things happen, recently (loss of job and girlfriend).

In isolation, it's not a bad argument. However, as you suggest, there is a pattern, which ought not to be ignored, and yet it is. We already know that SSRIs, for one, increase the likelihood of suicidality and aggression. We know this, because the manufacturers tell us so on the PIL (given that this is negative data, and it is the manufacturers giving it up, then we ought be able to rely on it).

Is it really such a flight of fancy, then, to imagine that for every 1 mass murderer who is acting solely as a consequence of their "condition," there are 12 (according to the figure, quoted by Newstarget), who are acting under the influence of mind-altering prescription drugs? I'll answer that for you: no, it's not. But each case is still treated in isolation, it would seem, whereupon we can, albeit grudgingly, dismiss what we strongly suspect, simply because we don't know for sure, because we don't have access to the data, because the regulators don't demand it, because they're shit.

MattRadagasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14286529284742690239noreply@blogger.com
