Why not write your thoughts on VNSdepression.com? Unless ofcourse you already have?

Feel free to leave comments on here if you wish but remember Herb, we are all on the same page regarding mental health and prescription drugs. Please don't lose sight of that fact.

Regards

FidFidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07329260132388791267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10459981.post-25152603291698281622009-02-01T16:25:00.000+00:002009-02-01T16:25:00.000+00:00Hi again Bob,I make no assumptions but rather garn...Hi again Bob,

I make no assumptions but rather garner differing points of view and the sharing of one’s experiences as it relates to serious mood disorders and more specifically Major Depressive Disorder of others to aid in my efforts as both a support person and caregiver. Yes many bloggers do deserve praise for their efforts but this does not or should not preclude the sharing of differing viewpoints or facts as Dawdy is prone to exhibit.

As one being excluded from sharing differences with Dawdy relating to some of his questionable opinions or as he puts it “journalist integrity” I sometime take the diplomatic approach of discussing through third party nations and since you too saw fit to heap praise upon him I thought you might also question some of those same points and hubris raised by Lichtenstein.

I recently noted some additional commentary added to the original Dobb’s posting and I thought you too might be interested in questioning some of the points made and maybe would encourage Dawdy to respond. I often quote the words of Paul Harvey in that I would like to know “The Rest of the Story”.

Dobb's original post

Once again I do appreciate your efforts as well as other bloggers but some do think they’re the do-all-end-all of journalism and/or are dogmatic and proselytizing in their views when in fact a little humility and understanding of others and their differing experiences might be the order of the day. Add to which I’ve also come to learn that even the best of journalists do not always dig deep enough into a story and they do come away with and present incorrect information to their readership.

Thanks for this opportunity to share my thoughts.

Warmly,
Herb
VNSdepression.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10459981.post-19964887151070027272009-01-31T08:34:00.000+00:002009-01-31T08:34:00.000+00:00For a first time poster on here Herb you make some...For a first time poster on here Herb you make some assumptions!

Firstly, I was unawre, until reading your comment, that Bill Lichenstein had left a comment. Secondly, why do you think I or anybody else for that matter are 'parisioners'?

Maybe you would care to write about it on your website rather than leave comments elsewhere. I take it the VNS Depression website is your doing?

I reported the story because bloggers need praising for the work they do, which largely goes unpaid.

If you don't think blogging makes a difference then please state that.

FidFidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07329260132388791267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10459981.post-8718280922435524642009-01-31T03:48:00.000+00:002009-01-31T03:48:00.000+00:00Hi Bob,Tsk, tsk but I thought by now one of Dawdy’...Hi Bob,

Tsk, tsk but I thought by now one of Dawdy’s minions would have alerted Philip to Bill Lichtenstein’s comments.

Maybe Dawdy, you or the other Furious Seasons parishioners simply missed Bill’s comments or possibly Philip read it and didn’t want to respond to another differing viewpoint not to his liking and one in which he can’t ban the individual or delete the comment.

Dead on Praise for Philip Dawdy

I’d be curious to read a rebuttal from Philip or some comment from him to the effect that Lichtenstein’s writing is also “being lame and lacking journalistic integrity.”

Then too, maybe one of Dawdy's efforts will include "The Rest of the Story".

Warmly,
Herb
VNSdepression.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
