GSK Just won't stop trying to push paroxetine on children!

I thought it had already been established from medicine regulators around the world and GSK themselves that paroxetine proved no better than placebo in children?

One would have thought that it was a closed case now. The MHRA investigated GSK and found they were not forthcoming with the paediatric Paxil studies.

You can imagine my surprise when I learned that GSK are now looking for children aged 7 Years to 17 Years "To compare the efficacy of paroxetine versus placebo administered once daily (after evening meal) for 8 weeks in children and adolescents..."

The start date of this study is January 2009

Ages Eligible for Study: 7 Years to 17 Years
Genders Eligible for Study: Both
Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No
