GSK - The Alli Spin

You have to love the spin from the marketing folks at GSK regarding their new drug, Alli don't you?

They even have their own website dedicated to their new 'baby'

I am particularly fond of the side effects section.

Does alli have side effects?
In many cases, that’s up to you. alli works by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat. The fat passes out of your body, so you may have bowel changes, known as treatment effects.

Duh, you haven't answered the question!

It continues...

You may have:

gas with oily spotting
loose stools
more frequent stools that may be hard to control

Let's look at these in detail shall we?

'gas with oily spotting' - Farting and causing oily spots around your ass (lovely)

Next...

'loose stools' - Erm, diarrhoea (lovely)

and finally...

'more frequent stools that may be hard to control' - An incontrolable urge to shit (fanbloodytastic Glaxo!)

So, basically it's a shit yourself thin kinda diet?

Consumers can purchase the Alli starter kit from sites like drugstore.com for $49.25 for a 60 capsule-count starter pack and for $62.99 for a 90-capsule starter pack, per a GSK spokesperson. However, the retail cost of the product in stores may vary a little based on the individual retailer promotional plans.

Alternatively, you could just go out and eat a very hot curry

Diarrhoea is funny
it runs straight down your leg.
I have this little idea
to sell it by the keg.
A penny for a litre
with lumps that come for free.
Lots of diarrhoea
mixed with lovely wee.
I'll post this to the breweries
to make a buck or two.
My little concoction
of wee and runny poo!
